Our support professional positions can be either school-based or in our central office and could be full-time, part-time, or temporary. All of our support professional positions are grouped into one of ten job families. A job family could have anywhere from 15 to over 100 specific, individual jobs. That is A LOT, but after all, we are the fifth-largest school district in the nation!
Service/Transportation
Get behind the wheel of a school bus and become a trailblazer for students’ path to success! Don’t want to drive, but have an interest in inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or overhauling vehicles and heavy-duty equipment? This is the job family for you.
Paraprofessional/Instructional Assistants
Students count with you and teachers count on you! Para-professionals make a difference every day inside the classroom. Become an interpreter, visually impaired aide, attendance officer, student success advocate, or teacher’s aide.
Information Systems
Join the frontline of our technology team as a computer technician or applications developer to help provide systems support for our students.
Food Service
Wake up to the best part of your day and serve our students breakfast and lunch, drive a delivery truck, or maintain our storage areas. Temporary positions are also available.
Service/Operations
Making our classrooms and schools sparkle makes our students sparkle! Help keep our schools and grounds looking top-notch. Become a custodian (temporary positions available also), gardener, pest control technician, or senior warehouse.
Police Service
Keep our schools safe and help us keep our students on the path to graduation as part of the Police Services Team. Opportunities include being a dispatcher, security specialist, and a school police officer.
Skilled Trades/Technicians
Maintain a safe learning environment for our students and staff so learning isn’t interrupted. Opportunities in this job family range from carpenter, chiller technician, CADD technician, and electrician to name a few. Just to give you some perspective, we have about 6,000 AC units in the District!
Business/Finance
Ensure a top-dollar education for all students. Positions in this family range from an accountant, buyer, to payroll technician.
Broadcast/Communication
Empower and educate children through various mediums and platforms. Most of these positions are for Vegas PBS and range from TV assistant to telecommunications specialist.
Visual/Printed Communication
Create and design tools that help our schools and students soar! Become a graphic artist, media specialist, or offset machine operator.
